The New Covenant
The term New Covenant is used in the Bible (both in
the Hebrew Bible and the Greek New Testament) to refer to an epochal relationship
of restoration and peace following a period of trial and judgment. As
are all covenants between God and man described in the Bible, it is "a
bond in blood sovereignly administered by God." [2]
Eschatology is a part of theology and
philosophy concerned with what are believed to be the final events in
history, or the ultimate destiny of humanity, commonly referred to as
the end of the world. .
Messianic
Age
is a theological term referring to a future time of peace and brotherhood
on the earth, without crime, war and poverty. Many religions believe that
there will be such an age; some refer to it as the "Kingdom of God".
The
Tribulation is the name given to the event or
events referred to in Matthew 24:21 and other passages of the New Testament
in the Christian Bible. In the Christian futurist view of Christian eschatology,
the Tribulation is a relatively short period of time where people who
follow God will experience worldwide persecution and be purified and strengthened
by it.
Rebellion
is a refusal of obedience or order [1]. It may, therefore, be seen as
encompassing a range of behaviors from civil disobedience and mass nonviolent
resistance, to violent and organized attempts to destroy an established
authority such as the government.
Paradigm
shift
(or revolutionary science) is the term first used by Thomas Kuhn in his
influential book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions (1962) to describe
a change in basic assumptions within the ruling theory of science. It
is in contrast to his idea of normal science.
The
Rapture is a prophesied future event found primarily
among Conservative Protestant denominations, relating to the return of
Jesus. The primary passage describing the rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17,
in which Paul cites "the word of the Lord" about the return
of Jesus to gather his saints.
