Don't let Transit Police railroad your rights [AKA] The Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority As to a recent publication by Translink: The Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority Police have full powers of provincial police, including the ability to arrest people for outstanding warrants, enforce drug laws, and enforce the Criminal Code outside TransLink property [PS: Canadian police must enforce the Criminal Code of Canada [CCC] NOTE: the CC of where? - Legally, this is called vesting authority under a territorial CLAIM of RIGHT This territorial power grab is graced by an ORDER IN COUNCIL When Steven Harper declared, [in the 1st 100 days in Office]THAT He transferred everything that encompasses Maritime jurisdiction, [quote: from sea to sea to sea], to NATO jurisdiction Transit Police is a Transportation Authority under Maritime jurisdiction, and since Wreck Beach is on the sea coast means that: It's only natural for this Authority would assume that this includes issuing these new beach patrols with rules and regulation from this NEW Authority in order to 'express authority' where it held no jurisdiction Now, some might think THAT: that's just the way it is, somethings will never change, -[but it really gets worse]- - This new AUTHORITY is held under CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT and - The first fundamental Principle of CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT states THAT: [opening line]- “There is an inextricable link between Democracy, the rule of law and police accountability.” 1] “Police must be authorized to do things that would be illegal for ordinary citizens,” -[like using guns and tazers to collect $2 fares]- 2] “Police must not be unduly fettered in the exercise of those powers.” [Canadians are commoners = not to be ordered around - Americans are ordinary citizens] [in law] - Changing can to must is VESTING a CLAIM of RIGHT to totally re-write Sec 8 CCC.- Sec-8 (3) is where all the territorial rights of commoners are protected from Authority - It impacts all common law defenses of we the people - Ps: It really comes down to drawing a line in the sand and declare Which side are you on?
